Capturing Alice’s Personality in Portraits and Print
The Challenge
When this couple brought in their wonderfully wriggly dog, Alice, they were excited—but also a little unsure. As any pet owner knows, getting a spirited pup to sit still for portraits can be a challenge. They wanted images that didn’t just show Alice, but captured who she truly is—her quirks, her charm, and all that personality packed into four paws.
The Approach
At Miranda Walton Photography, every session is about comfort, connection, and capturing the moment authentically. From the moment the couple stepped into our studio, they were welcomed into a relaxed, dog-friendly environment designed to put both humans and pups at ease.
Miranda gave Alice the time and space to settle, blending patience with playful prompts to bring out her natural expressions. The studio space allowed for a variety of setups, while the beautiful outdoor surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for a more adventurous feel.
The Experience
What really stood out for this couple was the seamless mix of professionalism and warmth. They described the shoot as “stunning,” “comfortable,” and “memorable from start to finish.” Miranda’s talent for working with animals shone through—not just during the session, but also in the way she carefully edited the final images to enhance their natural beauty.
The cherry on top? The cinema-style slideshow reveal. Projected onto the wall, the couple got to experience their photos in a way that felt intimate and emotional—more like watching a short film starring their best friend than flipping through a gallery.
The Result
• A collection of vibrant, personality-filled images of Alice
• A slideshow reveal that left a lasting impression
• High-quality prints on their way to becoming centrepieces in their home
• Clients who can’t wait to return for another session
