Bluebells in Northamptonshire

Family

Spring is a wonderful time for outdoor family photography sessions, not least because the bluebells are out in bloom. We are so lucky in Northamptonshire, and have some beautiful bluebell woods at our disposal. You need to be quick to snap up one of these limited sessions as the bluebells don't hang around for long!

What to Wear

Your clothing choice is very important for these sessions as the woods are often quite dark. Light, pastel colours work really well. Creams, greys and light pinks are perfect. A pop of yellow/mustard in your accessories can also compliment the bluebells. As with all sessions I advise you avoid clothes with cartoons/big logos, stripes and too much of a pattern. All these things detract from your faces in the final photographs. If in doubt, just keep it simple. You can always send me a quick phone snap of your clothing choices laid out so I can advise you if you are unsure. Have a look at https://www.pinterest.co.uk/mirandawphoto/what-to-wear-spring/ for some ideas.

I have a selection of beautiful tulle dresses for little girls aged between about 3 and 10 depending on sizes which you are welcome to borrow for the session. Please let me know at the time of booking.

Your Artwork

Photographs from your session will make the perfect family portrait to hang on the wall. I offer the most amazing quality Pro Canvas, Metal and Acrylic pieces, that are handmade in Italy and can be designed to suit your interior design. Amalfi Panels are also perfect for any modern or traditional home. All wall art ordered comes with the matching digital image with my compliments so you can share with your friends and family online.

Bluebells are a protected species and I'm always very careful not to destroy any flowers. I ask that you tell your children about it before the shoot and I will let them know to be careful too. We will use pathways and bare patches of ground for our photographs and I have a bunch of artificial flowers for children that want to hold them during the session to ensure none are picked!
